Kumar Mardur is a young singer from Dharwad, who trained in the Kirana gharana under his father Somnath. He also learnt from Firoz Dastur and Sawai Gandharva, and is today renowned for superb rhythmic control and a pure approach to Hindustani raga elaboration. Hear more of Kumar here:
